Dogging – All You Need is a Mobile Phone
Right here and right now let’s get one thing straight, dogging is really kinky but it’s got nothing to do with our furry four-legged friends. Instead dogging is a predominantly British activity that involves outdoor exhibitionism in car parks, wooded areas and quite public parks.
It seems that the term ‘dogging’ came to light in the early 1970s when some voyeurs would follow – or dog – and watch couples that were having sex outdoors. Some of these doggers soon realized that some of the couples were actually performing for them.
The couples knew that they were being watched and found that it added a distinct edge to the hardcore outdoor action they enjoyed so they made sure that the doggers didn’t miss any of the fun. From there it was only a short step to inviting some of the doggers to join in.
And the action just exploded from there. These days all you need is a mobile phone and someone to introduce you to the dogging scene and you’re set. Advice of the next dogging session in a person’s neighborhood is relayed to them by text message and on the day directions on how to get to the action are also relayed by text message.
And then it’s just a matter of arriving and watching or even joining in.
In some ways it’s sad that the old days of dogging – when there would be just one couple and maybe four or five watchers – has gone. These days most dogging events draw large numbers of participants and watchers and for many true voyeurs the fun has gone.
But for the rest of us it’s a wild time of free sex and great visuals as couples, groups and wild orgies erupt in front of onlookers who cheer on the participants.
Dogging has even found a level of acceptance from the authorities who are more keen to stop the spread of sexually transmitted diseases rather than try and stop the fun everyone has. Instead of trying to prevent dogging from occurring the authorities simply try to protect the participants from STDs by publishing health warnings in areas where dogging occurs. The authorities even arrange with those who run dogging websites to display safe sex messages on their websites.
That’s a rather enlightened approach and one that you would expect from European countries. But then the authorities are aware that, in dogging, they are facing a phenomenon that is going to be impossible to stop.
Research into dogging as far back as 2004 suggested that up to 60 percent of all UK country parks are being used by doggers and at the same time one dogging site had over 22,000 registered members so it’s been around for a while and it is getting more and more popular.
These days dogging has spread to across the English Channel into Europe where human sexuality is more accepted than in the United States. Dogging in Europe has certainly proved popular and there are even some adult videos out now that deal with the subject of European dogging. One was even shot on the edge of a very busy public highway and shows the true swinging style of dogging.
Sadly dogging has not taken off in a big way in the United States. The reasons for that are unclear but it’s hardly likely that the authorities in the US would turn such a blind eye to the phenomena as their counterparts do in other more sexually advanced countries.
